Terms of Use

Effective: 26 April 2026 Version 1.0 Governing law: India

inome.health is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Responses generated by the AI are for informational purposes only and must not be used as a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any health concern. In an emergency, call 112 (India) or your local emergency number immediately.

01 Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the inome service (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and inome ("we", "us", "our") under the laws of the Republic of India. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

02 Medical disclaimer

Read this section carefully. It directly affects your rights.

The AI is not a doctor

inome.health uses large language models to provide health-related information and tracking assistance. The Service is not a registered medical device under the Medical Devices Rules 2017 (India), is not regulated by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), and does not constitute the practice of medicine.

Not a substitute for professional advice

Nothing on the Service — including AI responses, health summaries, trend analyses, meal plans, exercise suggestions, or medication reminders — constitutes:

  • Medical diagnosis of any condition
  • Medical or clinical advice specific to your situation
  • Prescription or recommendation of medications
  • A substitute for consultation with a qualified doctor, specialist, or other healthcare professional

Always seek professional medical help for

  • Any symptoms that concern you, including those you have logged in the app
  • Changes to your medication dosage or schedule
  • Interpreting blood test results, medical imaging, or clinical readings
  • Any mental health concern, including stress, anxiety, or depression
  • Chronic condition management (diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, etc.)

Emergencies

If you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency — including chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, or any other life-threatening condition — stop using this app and call 112 immediately (or your local emergency number). Do not rely on the AI assistant in an emergency.

The Service has guardrails that detect emergency keywords and prompt you to call emergency services. These guardrails are a best-effort supplement, not a safety mechanism you can rely on.

03 Eligibility

To use inome you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information

The Service is primarily designed for users in India and is operated in compliance with Indian law. Users outside India may access the Service but should be aware that it is calibrated for Indian health contexts, dietary norms (IFCT 2017), and regulatory requirements (DPDPA 2023).

04 Your account

Registration

You must provide a valid email address and create a password. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. False or misleading health data will result in inaccurate AI responses — you bear responsibility for the accuracy of data you enter.

Account security

  • Keep your password confidential. Do not share account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • We will never ask for your password by email or phone.

One account per person

Each account is for a single individual. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent, and you may not share accounts.

05 Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The following are prohibited:

Attempting to extract, scrape, or systematically download health data from other users
Submitting false health data with the intent to manipulate the AI's responses
Using the Service to provide health advice to third parties professionally (without appropriate medical licensure)
Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security feature, rate limit, or access control
Injecting malicious prompts intended to override the AI's safety guardrails or system instructions
Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code or AI model weights
Using automated bots or scripts to access the Service without prior written consent
Uploading content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or violates third-party rights
Using the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our systems
Creating accounts for persons under 18, or using another person's account

Violation of acceptable use may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice.

06 Your health data

You own your health data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your health data solely for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy — specifically to provide you with the AI health assistant experience.

Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of health data you enter. Inaccurate data (wrong medication names, incorrect readings, false symptoms) will produce inaccurate AI responses. We are not liable for harms arising from inaccurate data you have entered.

Data you can always access and delete

You retain full control over your data at all times. See the Your rights section of our Privacy Policy for details on how to download or permanently erase your data.

No clinical reliance

Do not make clinical decisions — including medication changes, dietary interventions, or exercise regimes for serious conditions — based solely on data or recommendations from the Service. Always involve a qualified healthcare professional.

07 AI limitations & accuracy

The AI models powering inome.health are general-purpose large language models that have been configured for health assistance. You must understand their limitations:

LimitationWhat this means for you
HallucinationsAI models can generate plausible-sounding but factually incorrect information. Always cross-reference important health facts with a qualified professional or authoritative source.
Knowledge cutoffThe underlying models have a training cutoff date. They may not know about new medications, updated clinical guidelines, or recent research.
No physical examinationThe AI cannot examine you. Many conditions require physical examination, laboratory tests, or imaging to diagnose correctly.
Context limitsThe AI works with the context provided in your conversation and profile. Incomplete or inaccurate profiles produce less relevant responses.
Cultural approximationWhile calibrated for Indian contexts, the AI may not reflect all regional, linguistic, or cultural nuances.
Model routingSimple queries are answered by a lighter (less capable) model. If you have a complex health question, phrase it in detail so it routes to the most capable model.

The Indian nutrition data (IFCT 2017) and wearable data sync are more objective and reliable than the AI's open-ended conversational responses. Use the nutrition and wearable features for data tracking; use the AI chat for general guidance and pattern interpretation.

09 Intellectual property

Our content

The Service, including its design, code, AI system prompts, the health knowledge base, and all content we create, is owned by inome and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Your content

You retain ownership of all health data, notes, and content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process that content as described in our Privacy Policy — this licence ends when you delete your account.

AI-generated content

Responses generated by the AI in your conversations are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use. They are not independently verified and should not be treated as authoritative health information.

Indian Food Composition Tables (IFCT 2017)

The nutrition data for Indian foods in the Service is sourced from the Indian Food Composition Tables 2017, published by the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), ICMR, Hyderabad — a Government of India reference. This data is used for informational purposes. We make no warranty regarding its completeness or fitness for clinical use.

10 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI responses, health summaries, or any other content generated by the Service.
  • We are not liable for wearable data synchronisation errors, inaccuracies in third-party data, or outages caused by third-party providers (Fitbit, Google, AWS, AI model providers).
  • Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim, or ₹500, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

11 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless inome and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • False or inaccurate health data you submitted to the Service
  • Any claim by a third party arising from your use of the Service

12 Termination

By you

You may close your account at any time by using the "Delete Account" option in the app (Settings → Privacy → Delete Account) or by emailing us. Account deletion permanently erases all your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

By us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy
  • Your account is used fraudulently or to harm others
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the Service (with 30 days' advance notice and a data export opportunity)

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections on Medical Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law survive termination.

13 Governing law & dispute resolution

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Informal resolution first

Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support.app and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally.

Jurisdiction

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. For consumer disputes related to the IT Act 2000 or Consumer Protection Act 2019, you retain the right to approach the appropriate consumer forum.

DPDPA grievances

Privacy-related grievances under DPDPA 2023 should first be directed to our Grievance Officer (see Section 15). If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

14 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:

  • The "Effective" date at the top of this page is updated
  • We notify you by email and in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect
  • For significant changes (such as new limitations on liability), we will ask for your active acknowledgement before you can continue using the Service

If you disagree with the updated Terms, you may close your account before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
